EP 56: Staying Buoyant in the Red Wave, with Terri - Part 1
After the election results were posted and Donald Trump was declared the winner, Terri, like millions of people who supported Kamala Harris, became despondent, depressed, and disillusioned. She called up her friend Traci, The Hilarious Hypnotist, and requested a session in hopes of not only helping herself get through the disappointment, but to also help others find peace in very uncertain times. Traci has worked with several clients on both sides of the political spectrum and knows that when someone vehemently hates a political candidate, it's because that candidate emulates the same mannerisms and behaviors as someone from their past. A few targeted questions, and Terri revealed a story about her ex-husband and Traci was able to connect the dots. Traci also touches on how the media and politics use "The Dark Arts of Hypnosis" to persuade their viewers to believe their narrative.

-Terri admits she has trouble finding joy, despite having a great husband, a beautiful house, and has everything she could ever want.
QUOTABLES :
I think I've always considered myself to be an impact that I feel other people's emotions, and so I just feel like I'm feeling everybody's fear.
I wish I could go back to when I didn't watch the news, wasn't involved in politics, and none of it mattered. I I've always held the belief for years and years that didn't matter who the president is, I decide my economics, I decide my money. I decide how my life is going to be, and whoever's President really doesn't affect me. And so I never voted. I never paid attention.
Typically, when people have a strong hate towards someone that they've technically never met, it's a reminder of someone in their past that hurt them just wearing another pair of shoes.
